Rochester Terrace is a group of ten stucco rendered and ornately brick terraces erected in two stages in 1869 and 1879 as an investment for eminent Emerald Hill auctioneer, agent and speculator W P Buckhurst. The axially planned terrace, with dominant central block, flanking intermediate wings and strongly detailed end pavilions is by an unknown designer and in the style of the classic revival.
